Belgian government’s conspiracy to protect genocide deniers, genocidaires and terrorists
Despite its overwhelming role
in Rwanda’s tragic history which ended up in the 1994 Genocide against the
Tutsi, Belgium has tirelessly shielded genocide fugitives and deniers,
financing them to strengthen their revisionism.
Brussels nurtures Jambo, a Belgium-based
organization formed in 2008 claiming to be an association that fights against human
rights abuse yet its sole mission has always been genocide denial. Jambo’s members
are mainly descendants of the perpetrators of the 1994 Genocide against the
Tutsi in Rwanda.
The group aims at sanitizing its members’ relatives who are
planners and perpetrators of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
Belgian government officials
know everything about Jambo’s evil agenda but chose to protect and support it.
In October, Belgian envoy to
Kigali Versmessen Bert, was asked by reporters why Belgium is not doing
anything about Jambo, while the group is known for denying the Genocide against
the Tutsi in Rwanda and promoting double genocide theory.
The envoy responded that the
determination as to whether someone has negated or denied the 1994 Genocide
against the Tutsi is a preserve of the courts. He added that it shouldn't be a
matter of people accusing others of being genocide deniers.
The Belgian diplomat clearly
defended Jambo.
Belgium and Jambo Asbl have
the same political objectives. This made it possible for Jambo Asbl to enjoy
the protection of the country and advances its shared plan of redeeming their
tainted reputations and tactically concealing its crimes by tarnishing the
image of the current Rwandan government that put an end to the murderous
consequences of Belgian colonization and genocidal regime.
In 2020, Laure Uwase, a member
of Jambo Asbl and daughter of two génocidaires - Anastase Nkundakozera and
Agnes Mukarugomwa, was appointed as a commission member, to examine the role of
Belgian colonial rule in Rwanda and the entire Great Lakes region.
Uwase was not qualified as an
expert in the colonial history of Rwanda, but she was simply appointed to push
for Belgium’s agenda.
Inside
Jambo’s genocide denial plot in Belgium
Kigali tried its best to be a good partner to Brussels and
honors the memory of the Belgian peacekeepers murdered by the genocidal regime
with a dignified memorial, but the latter shows contempt by working closely
with genocide deniers, providing a safe haven to genocidaires, and chooses not
to prosecute them for political reasons.
Harbored by Belgian government, Jambo is going far in
achieving its mission of denying the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
Members of Jambo allege that
the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda was neither planned nor organized
by the government led by Juvénal Habyarimana.
Like other genocide deniers, Jambo
spreads the narrative that the angry Hutu, following the assassination of
President Habyarimana, spontaneously committed the 1994 Genocide against the
Tutsi in Rwanda.
Rwanda has on many occasions
condemned this narrative. The international community acknowledges that the
1994 Genocide against the Tutsi was well planned and executed accordingly.
In March 2018, Jambo organized
a conference in Belgium's parliament building for discussing a bill meant to
criminalize denial of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. The group aimed
to show that the draft law posed a problem on freedom of expression.
The law was adopted in April
2018, causing much anger to members of Jambo Asbl who keep on claiming that it
raises serious concerns of stigmatization of the Hutu, intimidation and
political repression.
Those complaints simply
signaled that members of the group fear to be brought to book for their denial
activities.
The Belgian envoy to Kigali
pretended to be unaware of all these. But again, since the law was adopted, no
single member of Jambo was tried.
Promoting
double genocide theory
Jambo Asbl has recognized the
legal qualification of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda for
political and tactical reasons. The fact remains that the theory that its
leaders constructed around this genocide falls under the pure and simple
negation of this crime.
Jambo has organized numerous side
commemorations to mark alleged mass atrocities and “genocides” including the supposed
genocide against the Hutu.
Through its media outlet
jambonews.net, the group promotes double genocide theory by highlighting that
there was two genocides in Rwanda, one perpetrated against the Tutsi and another
perpetrated against the Hutu.
By advancing this double
genocide theory, Jambo wants to whitewash their relatives who have the blood of
the Tutsi on their hands.
The group members hide behind the anger over the prosecution
of their relatives to whitewash their dark agenda. They fabricate stories and
bribe witnesses to shift the blame on the victims and cover up their relatives’
crimes. Their background reveals that they inherited hate and genocide ideology
from their parents.
Jambo
works closer with genocidal and terrorist militias
Jambo has been supporting FDLR,
a US-sanctioned terrorist and genocidal group, as well as its splinter groups
including FLN operating in eastern DRC.
These groups were formed by the
remnants of ex-FAR and Interahamwe militia known for their activities and
genocide ideology. Like FDLR, they are committed to return to Rwanda
militarily, overthrow the government of national unite and complete their
mission of exterminating the Tutsi in Rwanda.
In June 2014, members of Jambo
Asbl led by Kayumba Placide went in DRC looking for FDLR leaders including its
acting President Maj Gen Victor Byiringiro. They discussed on progress of FDLR’s acts in a
bid to overthrow the RPF-led government of Rwanda.
After meeting Gen Byiringiro,
the same date saw Kayumba meeting with FDLR descendants to give them a “message
of solidarity and sympathy”. He provided them the financial facilitation
collected from Western countries, and asked them to put all their efforts in
supporting FDLR’s terror acts.
Kayumba was the then President
of Jambo asbl. He is currently President of FDU-Inkingi, another negative
political movement working tirelessly to destabilize Kigali.
In September 2020, Jambo
asbl’s Secretary General Norman Ishimwe Sinamenye interviewed Maj Gen
Hakizimana Antoine alias Jeva, the Commander of FLN, about progress of their
attack plots against Rwanda.
All those interviews spread
globally via Jambo News to mobilize for those terrorist groups.
Jambo has collaborated with
FDU-Inkingi, on many occasions, to organize fundraising events aimed at
supporting FDLR.
These armed groups backed by
Jambo are responsible for different terror attacks on Rwanda’s territory, including
one that plotted in October 2019 in Musanze District, Northern Province. At
least eight people killed and 18 others wounded during the attack.
At least nine civilians killed
in militia attacks claimed by FLN on June 19 and December 15, 2018, in Nyaruguru
District, Southern Rwanda.
Belgian government is
knowingly protecting and supporting genocide fugitives and deniers by providing
most of them citizenship to strengthen Belgium’s conspiracy of genocide denial
and revisionism. Jambo as well as their
relatives who are perpetrators of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi enjoy
this protection while spreading their venomous narration against Kigali.
Though Brussels criminalized
denial of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, no single individual
from Jambo was prosecuted and probably it will never happen in Belgium.
Jambo’s
activities target Rwanda while serving the will of Belgium.
